Dementia Is Not Inevitable.

Q: What is dementia?
A: Dementia is a condition that damages the structure and function of the brain. It is a disease that causes cognitive, behavioral, and social symptoms. This can lead to significant impairment in daily activities and a decreased quality of life for patients and their families.

Q: Can dementia be prevented or reduced?

Q. At what age should I get brain health treatment?

A. Intervening in your brain health earlier rather than later is crucial. Research suggests that the accumulation of amyloid-beta and tau protein, inflammation, and cell breakdown begin to disrupt brain connections important for memory 6-30 years (depending on the pathology) before signs of cognitive impairment of dementia are observed. Neurocognitive disorder can happen at any age. Therefore, taking proactive steps to maintain your brain health is essential for a fulfilling life.
